He marked his first with his trademark mask celebration, which was mimicked by the Emirates faithful.

But after finding the net with a penalty in stoppage time he decided to mix up his usual celebration.

Gyokeres sprinted over to the corner flag and went up to a camera before flicking his hair.

In doing so he hit back at trolls who criticised how often the striker flicked his hair on his debut against Manchester United last week.

One Arsenal fan joked: “Gyokeres touched his hair 28 times today. The most someone has ever had in a single Premier League game. 🔥

Another added: “He touched his hair more than the ball.”

Fans also found Gyokeres’ response rather amusing, with one saying: “Gyokeres is too funny loooooool, he touched his hair on purpose to mock all those who were onto him last week.”

Another fan wrote: “Gyökeres doing hair flicks to the camera after a brace is sending me. The most obvious middle finger to the trolls I’ve ever seen.”

Gyokeres shared his delight at getting off the mark for his new side.

He said after the match: “Of course, I am really happy with the result. Of course, it was very nice to score two goals as well.

“It is always pressure. I know I’ll take my chances sooner or later. We won 5-0 so it was a great day.

“We have so many amazing players going forward. For me, it is important to be in the right place.

“It is difficult. All the teams we play against want to challenge us. We have to prepare for every game as best as possible, but we have an amazing team, and we train well and work hard every day.

“We have started off well with two wins and two clean sheets and a lot of goals. I think we are on the right path, but we can always do better and improve.”
