The bet kicked off with Aston Villa’s 13/5 draw against Newcastle, before Brighton and Fulham drew 1-1 at the same odds thanks to Rodrigo Muniz’s dramatic 96th-minute equaliser.
Then came a surprise as Sunderland beat West Ham at 23/10, with favourites Tottenham (11/20) and Manchester City (8/15) both comfortably doing the business.
European giants Barcelona (2/5) and Monaco (2/9) kept things on track with routine wins over Mallorca and Le Havre, while Nottingham Forest (11/10) eased past Brentford to keep the bet alive.
A 3/1 draw between Chelsea and Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge edged the punter closer – leaving just one leg remaining.
And it all came down to the Arsenal vs Manchester United showdown on Sunday. The Gunners’ 10/11 triumph sealed the bet and triggered a massive payout.
Without the Acca Boost, the total return would’ve been £13,945.73. But William Hill’s promo added an extra 30%, boosting the winnings by more than £4,000.
