But it’s the ‘sexy back crack’ which has really become the latest subtle-yet-sensual trend among celebrities.
It’s part of “a torso-twisting ritual” that highlights the curves, sculpts the waist, and adds a touch of mystery.”
Fashion editor Abby McHale says this is the ultimate fashion trend people need to copy for summer into autumn.
“It’s not always easy to pull off a fully backless look. But if you’re lucky enough to go sans-bra this summer like these stars, baring your back is the way forward,” she explains.
“It’s a stylish way to show some skin without being traditional, and it’s perfect for highlighting a summer glow.
“The way these celebrities are posing – leaning slightly back to emphasise their natural curves – is a refreshing, positive move.
“It proves that confidence is the ultimate accessory, and we’re absolutely here for it.”
Body language expert Judi James it’s now a status symbol in the world of seduction.
“Once upon a time, creased flesh was a no-go for photo shoots, but the back crack – a gentle, corkscrew-like wave of skin – has been redefined as alluring and desirable,” says Judi.
“It’s as subtle as a wink to the camera and just as captivating as a glimpse of bum cleavage.
“When done right, it teases with a mix of elegance and allure.”
She continues: “Humans are naturally drawn to dimples, as they evoke softness and youthfulness.
“The back crack dimple has a similarly magnetic appeal, offering a tactile and seductive message.”
The key to nailing this look? Keep it natural.
Judi advises practising the pose without holding the camera yourself: “Prop your camera up behind you, arch your back, and turn as if someone has called your name.
“Keep your chin lifted to avoid neck creases, as the neck crack doesn’t quite have the same allure as the back crack.”

How to pose like a celebrity
Body-positive influencer Tally Sharp has revealed how to perfect a celebrity inspired pose.
Shape
The perfect photo includes SHAPE, and use your body, or an outfit to enhance it.
Bikinis and lingerie work well for these shots, and it’s best to use them as your props – these will help to define your shape too.
Grab your bikini and pop a hip, or adjust the side of your bikini whilst gently using the other hand to shape your face or grab your hair on either side of your head as if it were a natural swipe motion shot.
Then put one leg in front of the other. It’s about diversity in the image.
Angle
Know what angels you like. It’s so funny, whenever I meet someone who follows me on Instagram they always say ‘You’re so much shorter in real life, I thought you were tall!’
This always makes me laugh because the angle I use is hip height slightly facing upwards which elongates the image, making me look taller.
So, learn with a friend what angles you like of yourself, and when you’ve found it, it’ll make it so much easier.
Practise makes perfect
Try sitting, standing, lying and every other level you can think of.
One thing I live by is, that if it’s not working and we’re not getting the right shot: either sit down or change the background.
Have fun
Content creation is all about having fun! And that’s really where you’ll ‘get the shot’!
